The American Massage Therapy Association Achieves 90,000 Members!
AMTA’s community has hit an exciting milestone with its largest membership in history, reaching 90,000! What started as a small group of 29 like-minded, dedicated massage therapy professionals in 1943 has transformed into an association of 90,000 members strong. We are a welcoming and diverse group of people coming together for a unified purpose – to serve and advance the massage therapy profession.
Achieving this milestone is a major step forward for the profession, as AMTA is the only national massage therapy non-profit association, and all funding goes back into the organization and to serving our members. This is our mission, and it defines us. Together we can continue to forge change and evolve the massage therapy profession by elevating education and standards, funding cutting-edge research, expanding relations with healthcare organizations, and engaging state and federal government agencies.
AMTA is ready for the future with a focus on continued growth and a commitment to representing all massage therapists. We have been, and will continue to be, the leader in advancing the massage therapy profession. Thank you to each and every one of you for being a part of the AMTA community.
