As NCCIH Director, Dr. Langevin and her team help answer important scientific and public health questions about mind-body practices and pain management. They also collaborate with other institutes and federal programs to further research on complementary and integrative health.
Prior to her arrival at the NCCIH in November 2018, Dr. Langevin served as director of the Osher Center and professor-in-residence of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Her research interests have centered around the role of connective tissue in chronic musculoskeletal pain and acupuncture, manual, and movement-based therapies.
